The project of renovating the Old Fire Station in Jakobstad has received the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Boost for Small Municipalities award. The project was selected for the finals from over 300 applications and the winners were announced at the NEB Awards ceremony in Brussels on 30 September 2025. Jakobstad is one of 20 small municipalities that received a prize of 30 000 euro.
