Reykjavik representatives visited our town as part of the Twinning Learning program. In the program, city pairs share their experiences and learn from each other about practices that aim to achieve climate neutrality.

During the visit, Jakobstad – Pietarsaari presented its own climate work, waste sorting system, and urban planning that promotes cycling.

The program is part of the EU-funded NetZeroCities project, which supports cities in achieving climate neutrality and overcoming the challenges associated with it.
