Pietarsaaren suomenkielinen työväenopisto is an educational institution maintained by the town, and its area of operation is Jakobstad.

Starting from 2024, the Workers’ Institute will be part of a larger entity together with Jakobstad’s Swedish Workers’ Institute and the Wava Institute. This also means that we will market ourselves in parallel as a larger entity, for example in our joint course catalog and on social media.

To facilitate cooperation and fairness, we have, since autumn, started using the names Arbis, Wava, and Työvis. The names are roughly the same length and are easy to place side by side in text.
