We thank everyone who submitted suggestions and engaged in developing our town through
participatory budgeting. More detailed planning will begin immediately for the winning option:
investing in the beaches at Fäboda and the Old Harbour.

Part of the participatory budgeting funds will be used to further encourage exercise and active
recreation on the beaches at Fäboda and the Old Harbour. This will include, among other things,
investing in more volleyball courts through new nets and marking of boundary lines. Disc golf
baskets will be placed with beach safety in mind, and goals for beach soccer will be purchased.

In addition, a barbecue/grill area is planned for the Old Harbour, likely in the northern part of
the beach. The possibilities of building an outdoor toilet between the café hut and the
birdwatching tower at Fäboda are also being investigated.

The equipment for physical activity on the beaches will be in place no later than June 2026. The
grill area and the outdoor toilet may take a little longer to complete, but the goal is for these to be
finished no later than August 2026.
