The familiar residents of the Skolträdgården pond, the koi carp, have once again returned to delight park visitors. During the winter, the fish stayed in their own indoor pool in the greenhouse, and as spring temperatures rose, they were moved back to the outdoor pond on Tuesday.

The carp in the Skolträdgården are koi carp, known for their long lifespan and social nature. Under the right conditions, koi carp can live for several decades. The current carp have spent their summers in the Skolträdgården since 2022.

The carp are fed a special fish feed that ensures a healthy diet and helps maintain the fish’s beautiful colors. Therefore, we kindly ask visitors not to feed the fish. We also ask that the fish be left undisturbed and that dogs, for example, are not allowed to swim in the pond.
