The opening of Jakobstad’s new pumptrack will take place on Wednesday, July 1, at 3:00 PM at the Mässplanen area. (Trädgårdsgatan 19-21)

The programme will include an opening speech by Nina Brännkärr-Friberg, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and juice for the children. The pump track will be officially opened by Mayor Robert Nyman and Town Engineer Frank Bäcksholm. Come and see how they make their way around the track!

The pumptrack is completed apart from some minor finishing work. For example, the shaping of the embankments, grass seeding, and the installation of artificial turf in the inner area of the track will be carried out at a later stage. Other construction work at Mässplanen will continue, and the goal is for the entire project to be completed by 2027.

We would like to remind all users that a helmet must always be worn when using the pumptrack, and that all track rules must be followed. Please note that access to the pump track is only permitted via the paved ramps or through the skate park. Crossing the embankments and the newly seeded grass areas is prohibited.
